A Relaxed Residence on a Cliff Looking Outwards to Elevate the Living Experience.
Daylight, ventilation, interconnectedness, and privacy are the core elements guiding the design of this cliffside house, which offers panoramic views of the valley. Every room is framed by expansive glass façades that seamlessly merge the indoors with the outdoors. The design team embraced the challenge of creating an airy, sun-drenched sanctuary, structured around a linear layout where rooms flow one after the other along a distinctive half-arched passage. This layout ensures that natural light and ventilation penetrate deep into the heart of the home.
The material palette is meticulously curated to enhance the tactile experience of the space, complementing the open, expansive atmosphere. White ivory walls, powder-coated metal accents, and white travertine flooring define the interiors, supporting the design’s vision of light-filled, spacious volumes. In contrast to the typical, poorly-lit row houses common in dense neighborhoods, Villa .5 offers an innovative alternative—transforming residential development in hill stations into an example of openness, light, and thoughtful design.
